Tree Tales

Sunday we went out and got our Xmas tree. We to this place about 15 minutes down the road and on the weekends they have a NewFoundland Dog Rescue group out there with their dogs. The dogs are all dressed up in Xmas gear and each one of them has a cart that they pull and you put your tree in and pull it the 200 feet to the car. You give money and are allowed to take pictures and they don't use the same dogs all day, they are rotated. We missed this event the first year so we went the second and thought it was the coolest thing. We make it a point to tell everyone about where to go and get a Xmas tree. We start walking around looking at the different trees, nothing is really grabbing us. So we end up going outside the fence looking for trees with different needles. Well we found it. Tim held this tree up and you know when you just know. Well I knew. Of course we put it down and looked around for another 5 minutes but we went back to that tree. We paid for it and we had 2 dogs pull the tree to the car. One with the tree and the other with a bucket in his mouth so that he could hold all the money. We donated 7 pounds (about $15). We start to put the tree in the car and well it doesn't fit. We had to put the tree in top side in first so that we could wedge it between the seats in the Blazer. Even once we got it in there we had to wiggle it around to get the door to close. We went back and did some shopping and then took the tree home. By the time we got home it was pissing rain out, I mean it is England, what should you expect right. The tree goes in the dining room, another story, another day. We had to cut a bit off before we could get it in there. Tim had to cut off about 5 inches on the bottom and about 6 inches off the top in order to get it stand up in the dining room. It isn't even decorated yet. Thinking about taking tomorrow off and doing that. I always suck at doing the lights though so I might wait for Tim, we'll see though. Anyways, gotta run, need to get ready for work, driving to Bungay again, 4th day in a row. The must like me....but who wouldn't :-)
