My Weekend

Ya know, the weather over here sucks. It was nice, for the most part, last week and as soon as the weekend hits it rains the entire weekend. We had to look for breaks to walk the puppies. Even as I write this I look out my window and see the sun shining but low and behold, in the distance is this HUGE gray cloud that is going to dump all over us. Go figure.

The weekend went well I guess. Tim went out camping with the scouts. He was more or less an extra adult in the end. He had a good time though, he said it was very rainy. I was home with the dogs, I was ready to kill Dakoda on Saturday. I mean he listens to me but he listens better to Tim. This should be interesting when Tim leave for the desert. It is always interesting when he goes. I worked on the puzzle a lot this weekend, got a fair amount done. I also painted the hallway, but it needs a second coat that I will do tomorrow probably, that is the plan anyways. I cooked dinner for the whole week so I don't have to worry about what we are going to eat for the week. I got a complaint yesterday that I had lost weight. It made me smile cause the scale says otherwise. I tend to lose inches before pounds for some reason and it is hard to tell cause since I a student teaching I'm in elastic waist bands all day so I can't really tell. We went over to a friend's house last night for dinner and he made ribs. They were AWESOME! I think they are the best ribs I have ever had. I brought over a homemade yellow cake with homemade buttercream frosting. It sounds better than what it looked like. It came out of the pan in about 3 pieces and when I went to make the frosting it said to use 3 cups of powdered sugar. I looked at the book and it said 16 oz. = 2 cups, right. So I put a whole box in there plus an additional cup from another box. I noticed that I had to add more milk than what the recipe said but I didn't think to much of it. So after I had frosted the cake I just happened to look at the side of the sugar box and it said approximately 3 3/4 cups. Oh well, what are you going to do except pray that they don't go into a diabetic coma right? That is about it for the highlights. I have a paper due today for school at midnight that I haven't even started yet. I have all of my ideas so I guess that is okay. I seem to work better under pressure anyways. We'll find out tonight right?
