There were 5 halls full of stuff and then there was the Arena. We got in the arena just in time because after we got there a line started to form. Everything always looks bigger when it is on TV ya know. We saw some small dog agility, fly ball, and the international dog dance competition. It is where the owner and dog do some sort of dance to music together and there are tricks thrown into the mix as well.
We stayed there all day. They also had this very large display of all the AKC registered dogs. There was every type of dog you could image. We went up and down all the aisles looking at all the dogs. We saw the Harry Potter Dog, or at least his breed. We went by the basset hound display to talk to the lady there. We showed her a picture of Maggie and asked why she wasn't as fat as the rest of the basset hounds that she had. The lady said that Maggie is more of a working basset hound, which is why she isn't fat, doesn't have the droopy eyes like bassets do, and explains why she has so much energy all the time. I found her very helpful. We went by the english cocker display as well. We got some grooming tips from her.
We both found the whole day very eventful. There was a ton of stuff to look at and they had all sorts of vendors there as well. Next year we are going to Hound Dog Day so we can see more Maggies. I'm already looking forward to it.

p.s. I'll try and get some picture of the dance and fly ball but the pictures didn't turn out all that well in there. The lighting was off. I have Tim working on it.
