The house of 1986

I haven't been home to my house in about 5+ years. Every time I do go home, we end up going to RI because that is where the event seems to be happening and it is easier for everyone to see us. Not including this is where Mom was living for some years while Dad was away. Thanks for flying us home mom and dad. Anyway whoooo, I haven't seen what my house/mom's house looks like in about 5 or so years. My parents got a new roof and I saw the pictures on my mother's phone on the 2 inch screen (mom has an issue with printing pictures in that she doesn't). I still have yet to see the new windows or any of the furniture that my mother as acquired from her patients.

My mother now has a blog, it can be found here. I have recently see the new frig which I totally LOVE!! What a cool frig, you did good mom. But that being said I just noticed the cabinets that I haven't seen in many years. My mom has decided to decided to start doing the house up. It is dated with the country kitchen of 1986, wall paper and all. The cabinets are dark and the counter tops and floors have seen better days. What am I trying to get at here, well I'm really not sure.

I think it is that I wish I could help as I too have been watching the home improvement shows for many years and think that I could do what she wants to do. My sister is currently home tearing up the bathrooms. Bet that is fun, need to post pictures of that. I say gut the whole thing and start from scratch. I'm glad that mom has finally decided to update, it would have pissed me off a long time ago and I would have done something earlier but I understand life gets in the way and all the blah blah blah. I guess my point is to wish you good luck and take pictures along the way. Try and remember to take before and after pictures. And know that I wish I could be there to help.
