Fore!
Tim has decided that he is going to become a golfer. I told him that this is my chance to get him in a collared shirt, one can only hope right. He has decided this because although he loves climbing it is just too far to drive and with gas prices (that are almost triple what you guys are paying) rising it just is to difficult. Plus on top of all of that, the climbs are only about 30-50 feet which is pretty small considering we have climbed 70+ feet. So we went out today and bought him a cheap set of clubs for him to beat on. The clubs were a package set that we got from the BX (Base Exchange) that came with all the clubs and a bag for $160 on sale for $143 but when we got to the register they rang up $119. We didn't complain. Afterwards we went over to the driving range and hit a few buckets of balls. Tim wants me to play but I'm not sure because of my shoulder. It hasn't ever really been the same since I dislocated in high school and it hurts after doing a repeitive motion for a long period of time. With this knowledge I just borrowed a few clubs from the golf course and hit with them just to get the feel of how I felt. I felt pretty good in the shoulder area but had pain in the elbow of the other arm, who knows why? We hit for about and hour and I coached Tim on how to swing and stance etc. Who knew that those classes in college would pay off. I remember Flack saying that something like 80% of all business is done on the golf course so you better know how to play if you are going into sports management or any management for that matter I would think. Anyways other than Tim planting our flower and veggie garden outside nothing else to report.
